- Job Offer: You must have a confirmed job offer from a UK employer.
- Certificate of Sponsorship: You need a Certificate of Sponsorship from a licensed sponsor before you can apply. The certificate is an electronic record, not a physical document, and contains your personal details and information about the job you’ve been offered.
Key Features of the UK Tier 2 Work Visa
- You are allowed to work for your sponsor in the job described in your Certificate of Sponsorship.
- You can stay in the UK for up to 5 years and 14 days, or the time given on your Certificate of Sponsorship plus 1 month, whichever is shorter.
- After 5 years, you may be eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), which allows you to live in the UK permanently.
